Welcome to Plymouth Community Partnership's website
On the site you will find a lot of information about what we do, how we work, the range of help, support and information available and how you can get involved.
But first, a brief description of the Community Partnership.
We have two main functions:
- to provide advice and support to community groups to help them do what they want to do more effectively and efficiently
- to act as the leading "voice" for community groups in decision-making in the city - both by acting as their representative and helping groups to participate directly themselves.
Plymouth Community Partnership is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. We have a membership of over 550 community groups, which directly elects the Board of Trustees. Our main financial and in-kind support comes from Plymouth City Council, Single Regeneration Budget Challenge Fund and European Social Fund.
We currently have a staff team of eight supported by volunteers, trainees and students - all of whom are based at Old Treasury Building, Catherine Street, Plymouth. This is both our office base and the home of the Resource Centre - which provides access to copying and computing facilities and an information library specially geared to the needs of community groups.
